Alpine Marks 70 Years with Limited-Run A110 R 70 and New A110 GTS

The Alpine A110 is no stranger to a special edition, but as the company celebrates its 70th anniversary – and the model enters its final year of production – Dieppe is ensuring the lithe sports car goes out in style.

The Alpine A110 is no stranger to a special edition, but as the company celebrates its 70th anniversary – and the model enters its final year of production – Dieppe is ensuring the lithe sports car goes out in style.

First up is the A110 R 70 – a 770-unit send-off for Alpine’s ‘R’ models, featuring 300bhp and 251lb-ft (340Nm) of torque, carbon fibre wheels, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres, and an Akrapovic exhaust.

In keeping with its lightweight ethos, carbon fibre extends across the bonnet, roof and rear spoiler, while four distinct interior themes are available through Alpine’s Atelier customisation programme. Customers can also choose from seven different finishes for the Brembo brake callipers.

Lurking within the 770-run is an even more exclusive variant. Made up of 70 units each in Bleu Caddy, Blanc Glacier and Rouge Sismique, the tricolour series is designed to evoke the original photograph of Alpine founder Jean-Charles Rédélé standing next to three tricolour A106s – the firm's first production car in 1955.

All carry a carbon-fibre Alpine 70th-anniversary logo on the roof , alongside matching blue, white or red Sabelt seats, and a colour-coded ring on the carbon wheels. Further touches include a 70th-anniversary logo on the wheel arches, and a French flag motif.

Alpine has also revised the regular A110 lineup, merging the GT and S models into a single car – the appropriately named A110 GTS.

The GTS utilises the 300bhp derivative of the turbocharged four-cylinder. The chassis combines the A110 S’s sharper dynamics with a setup better suited to daily driving and long-distance touring.

A GTS Aero Kit is available as an option, derived from the A110 R’s aerodynamic package, consisting of a carbon fibre front splitter, side skirts, rear spoiler and a gooseneck mounted rear wing. GT Race alloy wheels feature, again wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 rubber.

Alpine has also expanded its Atelier paint catalogue, adding five colours, including heritage shades Bleu Paon (Peacock Blue) and Orange Acropolis, alongside three new matt finishes – Orange Solaire, Bleu Eclipse and Gris Acier.

Inside, the A110 GTS offers grey leather as standard, with optional black leather seats or colourful Alcantara Atelier racing seats. The Focal Premium audio system is also standard.

The newly revised A110 range will be available for just 12 months, ahead of the brand’s first all-electric A110 successor. The 2025 lineup will be available to order from early May, with UK pricing starting at £55,160 for the base model, £67,311 for the A110 GTS and £103,345 for the A110 R 70.
